Best weight loss diet for busy vegetarian mom?

I am a busy young mom with 3 kids, ages 3, 2, and 4 months. I have gained a lot of weight in my pregnancies and would like to lose about 80 pounds. I want to lose it slowly and healthfully. I do not have the time or money to join a gym, and do not have the child care. Also, I can not afford to buy any exercise equipment or expensive pills/gadgets etc. What are some healthy diet plans that are vegetarian friendly, and what are good exercises for targeting belly fat. PS-I do not need to hear “eat less exercise more.” I need specific routines and referrals to eating plans that work for my lifestyle. I also need to know what kind of exercises to do and when/how to do them, plus some healthy foods that will satisfy my sweet tooth. Thanks!
I forgot to say that I am also allergic to wheat.

Losing weight is a simple equation: if you burn more calories than you eat, the weight will come off. Start off by estimating how many calories you burn each day using the calorie calculator http://straighthealth.com/pages/tools/caloriecalclb.html This will give you an idea of how many calories to eat. Healthy weight loss is 1–2 pounds per week. To lose 1 pound per week you need to create a calorie deficit (burn more than you eat) of 500 calories per day. To lose 2 pounds a week, you have to double the deficit to 1000 calories per day. You can achieve this by eating less, exercising more or a combination of both.

i know that you don’t want to hear “eat less exercise more” but the truth is that all of the other gimmick plans are just short term, with results quickly fading.

perhaps instead of thinking “man, i have to eat a tiny meal and exercise all the time”, try some alternatives.

my bane was portion control. like to eat salad? great! have a serving. don’t think that since it’s salad, you can gorge yourself with a ranch dressing covered mountain.

exercising.. not all exercise is sweating in a gym. go for a walk. i know it may be hard with all the kids, but pushing a stroller while hubby watches the other(s) would do wonders.

I know a perfect diet for you (as long as you’re vegetarian, not a vegan).I went on a diet called the Special K Diet where you have Special K for breakfast and lunch and then have whatever you want for dinner. It really works! It will fit your busy schedule (cereal isn’t that hard to make) and will let you lose weight without going to a gym or buying any equipment. I don’t know how long it will take for you to lose the weight, but I know that you will lose it eventually.

If you are nursing, try to eat a balanced diet of veggie, and fruits. People confined to bed can lose wt easily by cutting calories. Even with no added exercise. It take 3 days for the fat metabolism to go into action. It requires less calories in than burned up daily. If you eat more calories /day than you burn up, you will shut down the fat metabolism cycle for another 3 days. You should weigh yourself daily and watch what your weight does. Note what you eat per day. If your weight is going down over several days, you are on the right calorie level. If your weight is steady, cut your calories by 300–400 /day. One pound of fat = 3000 calories. After the initial water loss, because less water is required for less calories eaten, your wt. will decrease accordingly. The liver makes all the sugar you need to live. If you eat sugar you will get extra calories that are not needed and sugar turns off the fat metabolism and makes you more hungry.
For more rapid wt. loss, fasting is a guaranteed successful method. And it is cheap. It also is very helpful if you have a dog. Instead of you eating the left overs, give it to your dog. Hunger pains are your best friend. Your stomach will naturally shrink and the hunger pains will gradually subside. Meds are not necessary for losing wt.

Try incorporating the Glycaemic Index into your eating plan is surprisingly easy.

Eating a lot of high GI foods can be detrimental to your health because it pushes your body to extremes. This is especially true if you are overweight and sedentary. Switching to eating mainly low GI carbs that slowly trickle glucose into your blood stream keeps your energy levels balanced and means you will feel fuller for longer between meals.

I had the same problem few years ago I am man and then I started eating only yogurt and it worked like magic and I lost about 60 lb in 5 months without any exercise and without any health problems, actually I became more healthy.

so try to make 70 to 90% if not 100% of your food youghurt( use calaries culculator) and it well work like magic without any excersise and don’t forget your supplemintry vitamines.

    good luck
